Chicago River Spring Regatta

Chicago is celebrating it's 60th year of providing public services to the maritime community.

CPS was chartered in 1945 as a unit of the United States Power Squadrons which was organized in 1914. Our mission is to bring information regarding boating topics and boating safety to the general public and offer extended training to our members. Through the camaraderie of thousands of members in 498 squadrons dispersed between 33 districts, covering 3 countries, territories and commonwealths, pertinent information is delivered from a variety of sources in a timely manner. Due to the size of our organization we can offer reduced insurance rates and other incentives from boating suppliers. Extensive Benefits list (History links: USPS, District 20, Chicago Power Squadron)

Don't let our name fool you....
We have an equal representation of power boaters (stink potters) and sail boaters (rag baggers). There is also a smattering of those pesky PWC mosquito's (personal water craft).
....and, we are not just for the novices. We have many benefits for the experienced boaters who wish to join.
